IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances Part III: XML Security Guide
IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances Part III: XML Security Guide
IBM® WebSphere® DataPower SOA Appliances represent an important element in IBM's holistic approach to Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). IBM SOA appliances are purpose-built, easy-to-deploy network devices that simplify, help secure, and accelerate your XML and Web services deployments while extending your SOA infrastructure. These new appliances offer an innovative, pragmatic approach to harness the power of SOA while simultaneously enabling you to leverage the value of your existing application, security, and networking infrastructure investments. This paper series gives a broad understanding of the new architecture and some of the traditional deployment scenarios.
This series of redpapers cover the implementation details that help identify the circumstances under which DataPower appliances should be deployed. It provides a sample implementation and architectural best practices for SOA message oriented architecture in a production ESB legacy environment. In this document you will find information describing how the DataPower appliance can be used to secure incoming Web Services within an SOA environment. It also describes how to integrate your DataPower appliance with WebSphere Message Broker and how you can provide protection against security attacks such as XML Denial of Service (XDoS).
This publication series is targeted at architects and administrators who need to understand the implemented architecture in WebSphere DataPower appliances to successfully deploy it as a secure and efficient Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) product.
